Howard Gruverman

Howard Gruverman has spent over 30 years serving the healthcare and benefits industry with a focus on the healthcare delivery system by improving people’s lives and their health. Howard has held many national leadership roles working directly with health plans, employers, and government organizations. Most recently Mr. Gruverman served as executive vice president of enterprise at Sharecare for the past five years. Howard’s role included the development and execution of their enterprise strategy and tactical plan.

Prior to Sharecare, Howard led the vision and strategy for national service solutions as Senior Vice President of National Accounts at Wells Fargo, where he helped enable employers to improve their healthcare status, lower overall costs, increase consumer engagement and improve overall workforce productivity. In that role, Gruverman worked with national employers ranging from 5,000 to over 500,000 employees, including private equity portfolio initiatives, technology, Fortune 1000 and several other industry-based programs.

He joined Wells Fargo in 2011 when the company acquired EDIFY, which Gruverman started in 1996 as CEO and grew into one of the largest privately held healthcare benefits consulting firms in the country. Prior to EDIFY, Gruverman spent 11 years at CIGNA Corporation in various positions with responsibilities including account strategy and analysis, underwriting, plan design modeling, vendor relations, profitability and national accounts.

As the chairman emeritus of the board for the American Heart Association of South Florida, Gruverman remains committed to communities and improving the of healthcare in the local and national market. A graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication, he now resides in Florida with his wife and two daughters.
